Claretex Coated Fabrics
DESCRIPTION
Claretex SL fabrics are silicone-impregnated, 100-percent fiberglass fabrics developed to provide high-temperature protection while maintaining flexibility.
- SL products are designed primarily for use as an outer covering on removable insulation pads.
- Claretex TFE fabrics are 100-percent fiberglass fabrics coated with polytetrafluoro-ethylene (PTFE), which offers a level of chemical resistance not found in silicone- or neoprene-coated fabrics.
- Claremont's Scuffcoat is designed to offer increased protection for spray shields used on high-temperature, high-pressure piping systems and mechanical joints.
APPLICATIONS
- Removable insulation pads.
- Welding blankets or curtains; safety clothing; equipment covers.
- Spray shields; flange covers.

- U.S. Navy approved for spray-shield fabrication per Drawing 803-2145518.
- When specified, SL products can meet NRC 1.36 and MIL-I-24244 nuclear specifications.
- Service temperatures from -67°F to +500°F.
- Water, oil, and chemical resistant; does not absorb liquids; easily cleaned.
