DESCRIPTION
Claremont's Coustifab products are designed to utilize limp mass to attenuate airborne noise.
- Meets USCG requirements for non-combustible materials.
- Used in conjunction with filler materials to reduce noise levels aboard ship.
APPLICATIONS
- Transmission-loss barrier for noise-sensitive areas aboard ship.
- Insulation pads for silencing noisy equipment.
- Coustifab products may be used alone or in conjunction with a filler material such as fiberglass hullboard or Low-K 200 polyimide foam to create a product with disirable transmission-loss properties.
- Coustifab refers to a film that is loaded with either barium sulfate or silicone, then applied to a 100-percent fiberglass carrier fabric.
- Coustifab products may also be manufactured without the fiberglass carrier fabric or with the carrier fabric applied to both sides.
